Mongoose Bike Size Chart

Mongoose started in 1974 in California as a BMX company and still sells BMX-led kids bikes plus retail mountain bikes under Pacific Cycle. Youth sizes are wheel diameters; adult MTBs use frame labels or wheel size depending on the model. This page has Mongoose’s kids and mountain charts. Do not treat a 20" BMX top tube as an adult mountain M.

How to measure

Height filters the chart. Cycling inseam decides which overlapping size to keep. The method is the same for every brand.

Height and inseam

Height

Take shoes off and stand tall, looking straight ahead. A helper should rest a flat object on the crown of your head, then run a tape from the floor to the underside of that object. Save the number in inches and centimeters — charts use both.

Inseam

Stand tall and barefoot with feet slightly apart. Ask a helper to measure vertically from your crotch to the floor. Keep your legs straight and feet flat.

    Use your height on the Mountain and Kids charts on this page. On the mountain table, 152-152 cm sits in both S (24") and M (26"). Cycling inseam and standover pick the side. Then check stack and reach for the exact Mongoose model.
