Salsa Bike Size Chart

Salsa Cycles started in 1982 and is now part of Quality Bicycle Products in Minnesota. The brand is known for drop-bar adventure bikes, bikepacking, and mountain bikes rather than a sprinter’s road line. This page has Salsa’s gravel and mountain charts. Cutthroat and Warbird share a culture, not identical size numbers. Use the category table, then stack and reach.

How to measure

Height filters the chart. Cycling inseam decides which overlapping size to keep. The method is the same for every brand.

Height and inseam

Height

Take shoes off and stand tall, looking straight ahead. A helper should rest a flat object on the crown of your head, then run a tape from the floor to the underside of that object. Save the number in inches and centimeters — charts use both.

Inseam

Stand tall and barefoot with feet slightly apart. Ask a helper to measure vertically from your crotch to the floor. Keep your legs straight and feet flat.

FAQ

  • What Salsa bike size do I need?

Use your height on the Gravel and Mountain charts on this page. On the gravel table, 161-163 cm sits in both 49 and 52. Cycling inseam and standover pick the side. Then check stack and reach for the exact Salsa model.

  • Can I copy a Salsa size from one bike type to another?

Not safely. Salsa Gravel and Mountain charts on this page are separate. A Salsa 49 on the gravel table and a Salsa S on the mountain table are not interchangeable.

  • Which Salsa sizes are listed on this page?

The Gravel and Mountain charts on this page include 49, 52, 54.5 (152-200 cm on the gravel table). Verify the current Salsa model chart on the official site before purchase.
