Polygon Bike Size Chart

Polygon is an Indonesian bike maker founded in 1989. BikesOnline sells it in the United States. The range covers full-suspension and hardtail mountain bikes, road, gravel, hybrid, and kids bikes. Polygon publishes one sizing guide with a separate table for each category. The tables do not agree. A road XXS and a mountain S cover different heights. Pick the category first, then confirm stack and reach on the model page.

Sizing guide

Polygon sizing guide

Polygon publishes one table per bike type, and the tables do not line up. Read the type first, then the size.

  1. 01

Polygon publishes 5 separate size tables

This page has 5 tables: mountain, road, gravel, hybrid, and kids. The published range runs from 80 cm on a kids bike to 195 cm on a road XXL. Mountain starts at S 152.5–165 cm and ends at XL 182.5–195 cm. The road table has the most sizes, XXS 151–161 cm through XXL 185–195 cm. Gravel starts at S 150–163 cm. Hybrid starts at S 155–165 cm. Pick the table for the bike you will ride before you compare two labels.

  2. 02

Mountain sizes overlap by 2.5 cm

Each mountain size covers 12.5 cm, and the next size starts 10 cm higher. Consecutive sizes overlap 2.5 cm. S covers 152.5–165 cm, M covers 162.5–175 cm, L covers 172.5–185 cm, XL covers 182.5–195 cm. A 163 cm rider sits inside S and M. A 173 cm rider sits inside M and L. Use inseam and standover to break the tie, then confirm the frame on the model page.

  3. 03

    Road sizes overlap the most

The road table fits 7 sizes into 44 cm. Consecutive sizes overlap 1–7 cm. XXS covers 151–161 cm, XS covers 154–164 cm, S covers 162–170 cm, M covers 168–176 cm, L covers 174–181 cm, XL covers 180–187 cm, XXL covers 185–195 cm. A 172 cm rider sits inside M. A 175 cm rider sits inside M and L. Two sizes fit your height and differ in reach, so check the frame geometry. Compare stack and reach on the model, then use inseam to pick the saddle height you need.

  4. 04

Gravel and hybrid start at different heights

Gravel starts at S 150–163 cm and ends at XL 188–195 cm. Hybrid starts at S 155–165 cm and ends at XL 185–195 cm. A 172 cm rider lands in M on both tables. The two frames can share that height and still differ in stack and reach, so confirm both numbers on the model page before you order.

  5. 05

    Kids sizes are wheel diameters

The kids table uses wheel size, not a frame letter. 12" covers 80–110 cm, 16"-18" covers 100–125 cm, 20" covers 120–130 cm, 24" covers 127–142 cm. Consecutive sizes overlap 3–10 cm. A 125 cm child fits 16-18 inch and 20 inch. A 130 cm child fits 20 inch and 24 inch. Check standover and brake lever reach on the exact bike. A bigger wheel changes standover and bike length, not the saddle height. Measure inseam as well as height.

  6. 06

    The e-bike table is separate

Polygon publishes a separate e-bike table on the same sizing guide. The e-bike sizes do not use the mountain or hybrid tables. Read the e-bike table on Polygon's guide, then confirm the motor model and the frame size on its product page. A size from the non-electric table does not carry across.

  7. 07

Match the model family, then the year

Each table covers several frame families. Siskiu, Syncline, Xtrada, and Collosus use the mountain table. Strattos and Helios use the road table. Bend and Path X use the gravel table. Heist uses the hybrid table. Rapid, Relic, and Xtrada 24 use the kids table. The category table gives a starting size. The model page gives stack, reach, and standover for that frame. Polygon changes geometry between model years, so read the year on the product page before you buy.

How to measure

Height filters the chart. Cycling inseam decides which overlapping size to keep. The method is the same for every brand.

Height and inseam

Height

Take shoes off and stand tall, looking straight ahead. A helper should rest a flat object on the crown of your head, then run a tape from the floor to the underside of that object. Save the number in inches and centimeters. Charts use both.

Inseam

Stand tall and barefoot with feet slightly apart. Ask a helper to measure vertically from your crotch to the floor. Keep your legs straight and feet flat.

FAQ

  • What Polygon bike size do I need?

Use your height on the Mountain, Road, Gravel, Hybrid and Kids charts on this page. On the mountain table, 5-165 cm sits in both S and M. Cycling inseam and standover pick the side. Then check stack and reach for the exact Polygon model.

  • Can I copy a Polygon size from one bike type to another?

Not safely. Polygon Mountain, Road, Gravel, Hybrid and Kids charts on this page are separate. A Polygon S on the mountain table and a Polygon XXS on the road table are not interchangeable.

  • Which Polygon sizes does this page list?

The Mountain, Road, Gravel, Hybrid and Kids charts on this page include S, M, L (5-195 cm on the mountain table). Verify the current Polygon model chart on the official site before purchase.

  • What Polygon size fits 172 cm?

At 172 cm the tables place you in road M, mountain M, gravel M, and hybrid M. Use inseam for the saddle height, then compare stack and reach on the model.

  • Is a Polygon M the same on every model?

No. The letter belongs to one category table. Mountain M covers 162.5–175 cm. Road M covers a different range. Match the category table first, then read the model geometry.

  • Does Polygon publish a size chart for e-bikes?

Yes. Polygon publishes a separate e-bike table on the same sizing guide. Read that table, then confirm the motor model and the frame size on the product page.

  • Do Polygon kids bikes go by age?

No. Polygon lists wheel size and rider height. 12 inch covers 80–110 cm and 24 inch covers 127–142 cm. Check standover and brake reach on the exact bike.
