Madone uses Trek's road alpha letters, not centimetre labels, and Trek publishes the Madone table separately from the brand-level road chart. The two disagree on S and M: Madone S is 50 cm where the brand chart says 52, and Madone M spans 52-54 cm where the brand chart says 54. Read the Madone table on this page before translating a size.
Madone SL 7 size finder
Height gives you one size, or two when the published height ranges overlap. Stack, reach, and standover settle the overlap.
Enter your height and the Madone SL 7 size that covers it is marked in the tables below.
How to measureHeight gives the starting size. Standover and reach confirm it.
Height ranges
Height ranges for every Madone SL 7 size, 139 to 203 cm overall. XS: 143 to 158 cm. S: 158 to 162 cm. M: 162 to 173 cm. ML: 173 to 179 cm. L: 179 to 188 cm. XL: 188 to 199 cm.
Size chart
Rider height and inseam are Trek's published sizing table for the Madone SL 7 Gen 8. Trek lists the matching frame size with each letter.
XS
4'8"–5'2"
47 cm
143–158 cm
Inseam 67–74 cm
Smallest of the six sizes and the lowest standover in the range.
S
5'2"–5'4"
50 cm
158–162 cm
Inseam 74–76 cm
A narrow 4 cm height band, so inseam decides more than usual here.
M
5'4"–5'8"
52-54 cm
162–173 cm
Inseam 76–81 cm
Trek groups Madone M across two centimetre labels here.
ML
5'8"–5'10"
56 cm
173–179 cm
Inseam 81–84 cm
Half-step between M and L for riders who fall in the overlap.
L
5'10"–6'2"
58 cm
179–188 cm
Inseam 84–88 cm
The largest size that still pairs with a single centimetre label.
XL
6'2"–6'6"
60-62 cm
188–199 cm
Inseam 88–100 cm
Highest standover in the range.

Sizing notes
Riders with the same height can need different sizes because inseam, torso length, flexibility, and preferred handling differ.
3 checks
Madone is Trek's aero road platform. Trek publishes the Madone sizing table separately from the brand-level road chart, and the two disagree on M: the Madone table says 52-54 cm while the road chart pairs M with 54 cm.
Trek publishes both a rider height range and an inseam range for every Madone size. When they point at different rows, inseam and standover decide it.
Stack grows faster than reach across the Madone range: XS to XL adds 103 mm of stack but only 32 mm of reach, so stepping up a size raises the front end more than it lengthens the cockpit.

Questions
Short answers for Trek Madone SL 7 sizing.
Start from the Trek height range for your measurement: XS for 143–158 cm, S for 158–162 cm, M for 162–173 cm, ML for 173–179 cm, L for 179–188 cm, and XL for 188–199 cm. Then confirm inseam and standover against the geometry table on this page.
Trek lists Madone L as 58 cm, covering riders from 179–188 cm with an 84–88 cm inseam. It is the largest size that still pairs with a single centimetre label; XL spans 60-62 cm.
Trek's Madone sizing table groups M under 52-54 cm, while the brand-level Trek road chart pairs M with 54 cm. Both are Trek publications, so read the Madone table on this page for this frame and confirm the year before buying.
Trek publishes ML for riders from 173–179 cm (5'8"–5'10") with an 81–84 cm inseam. Trek lists ML as 56 cm, and it adds 16 mm more stack than M while reach grows only 5 mm.
